In view of the Diwali festivities, the state government has decided to provide additional 1 kg of sugar and 1 liter of cottonseed oil pouches to the ration card holders in addition to the prescribed quantity.  BPL cardholders will get Rs 1 per kg and Atyodaya cardholders will get an extra 1 kg of sugar at Rs 15 per kg, while a pouch of cottonseed oil will get Rs 50 per liter.
The next Diwali is on November 15. In view of this, the supply department has decided to provide pouches of sugar and cottonseed oil for the festival in the month of November.  There are a total of 2,8,000 NFSA cardholders in Ahmedabad city.  There are a total of 6 reasonably priced shops in the city from where this quantity can be obtained.
In this regard, according to the managers of ration shops, the quantity for the month of November has not reached the ration shops of the city till October 30 today.  So that from November 1, in addition to the fixed quantity, it is not possible to distribute the additional quantity declared for the festival.

 Usually the supply of that month reaches the reasonably priced shops by the last week of the next month.  However, the month of November has not come yet.  So the fear of creating a distribution problem is being served.

 In this regard, according to the officials of the supply department, the work of delivering the supply to the ration shops is going on.  There will be no problem in distribution in the month of November.

 This year, under the 'One Nation One Ration Card', beneficiaries from states including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Union Territories including Diu-Daman-Dadra Nagar Haveli will be able to get quantity of foodgrains from any village or city in the state at reasonable prices.  Besides, the beneficiaries of any district of Gujarat will be able to get the quantity of foodgrains available to them from the ration shop of any village or city.

A webinar was held between Gujarat Swanirbhar School Board of Directors, District Education Officers and the Minister of State for Education. In which opinions were taken from all whether to open a

school for students of Std. 9 to 12 after Diwali. In this webinar, the Minister of Education has given hints to open a school for students of Std. 9 to 12 after Diwali. No decision has been taken yet to open a school for Std. 1 to 8 students. Consideration is being given to start schools for students of Std. 6 to 8 in rural areas of the state. The Diwali vacation has also been shortened this year.

All sectors except school have been opened: Vice President of Gujarat Self Supporting School Board of DirectorsJatin Bharade, Vice President, Gujarat Swanirbhar School Board of Directors, said that schools have been started in 7 states in India. At that time, a webinar was organized with the Education Minister on when to start a school in Gujarat. Every sector has started and is adapting to the Corona situation. The biggest problem then is to stay inside the school but the school should be started keeping in view the situation. After Diwali vacation std. Opinions have come from all over the district that schools should be started for students of 9th to 12th standard. The Education Minister also took note of this opinion and indicated to start a school for studies from Std. 9 to 12 after Diwali. If the school has a large number of students, the students can be called to the school by dividing the students into four parts of 25-25 percent. If the school has a small number, 50 per cent students should be called and the school should be started.

Jatin Bharade further said that there was another opinion that some students could be called on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while others could be called on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. At present, instead of five hours of school time, three or three and a half hours can be called within two or three shifts. Now students, parents and school administrators are tired. Now the situation is such that the school should start immediately. The government is also taking this matter very seriously. Unlock 5 is running, the school has increased by one and all other sectors have been opened.
