The Election Commission has directed that EVM will not be used in Gram Panchayat elections this time. This time the Gram Panchayat elections are planned to be held on ballot paper. It is important to note that in the forthcoming elections in more than 10 thousand gram panchayats in the state, elections have been planned for 1 lakh 25 thousand seats.
