In this text message, he wrote Merry Christmas. Now this message can be auctioned for about Rs 2 crore. According to a media report, the world's first text message was sent 29 years ago on 3 December 1992 by British programmer Neil Papworth. Now telecom company Vodafone is going to auction this text message. Text Message will be auctioned in Paris.

Telecom company Vodafone Neil Papworth was a developer and test engineer. Meanwhile, he sent an SMS to his colleague Richard Jarvis from a computer. In 1992, Richard Jarvis became the director of the company. This text message was sent by Papworth to the Orbital 901 handset.


Neil Papworth said during an event in 2017 that he didn't think he would become so famous when he sent this text message. He told the children that he had sent the world's first text message.
