Election of Local Self-Government Institutions - 2021 Polling / Re-polling on the second day of counting the period of election duty for polling staff

Election of Local Self-Government Institutions - 2021 Polling / Re-polling on the second day of counting the period of election duty for polling staff

After the polling is over, they arrive at the receiving center late at night or early in the morning the next day if the distance is too long to return the ballot papers. In the current Covid-19 epidemic situation, in some cases, there may be a delay in the arrival of polling teams at the receiving center in stages. Therefore, considering the relatively long tenure of the election staff on duty and the difficulty in attending their office on the second day of polling, the election duty staff on the second day of polling will have to consider this day as their duty attendance if they cannot be present at their original office. The State Election Commission has decided not to be present at the original office.

The above instructions will also apply in case of re-polling. No additional allowance may be levied for this period.

Polling will be held on February 21 in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar Municipal Corporations of the state. The polling is scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm.

Voting will take place on February 22 if a seat needs to be re-voted. The counting of votes for all the 6 municipalities will be held on February 23.
The State Election Commission will soon announce the SOP when local self-government elections are being held in the Corona era.

Polling for 6 municipalities will be held on February 21 and counting of votes will take place on February 23. Polling for 31 district panchayats and 231 taluka panchayats and 81 municipalities will be held on February 28. The counting of votes will take place on March 2.

Local self-government elections have been announced in the state. Given Koro’s position, local government elections will be held in two phases. Municipal elections will be held in the first phase and municipalities and panchayats in the second phase

Manifesto for Municipal, District Panchayat and Taluka Panchayat elections will be published on 8th February. February 13 will be the last date to fill out the subscription forms. Subscriptions will be verified on February 15. Subscriptions can be withdrawn by February 16. Voting will take place on February 28th. Voting time will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. If re-polling is required, it will be held on March 1. The counting of votes will take place on March 2.

Politics is heating up as soon as the dates of the semi-finals of the Assembly elections are announced.
